She arrived knowing no one.
Two years ago Dominque Willis moved to Huntsville with a cosmetology license, a scalp-care certification, and zero clientele.
No book. No referrals. No one waiting.
She opened DEW in October 2024 on one belief: women with natural hair shouldn't have to choose between being deeply cared for and getting expert care.
Huntsville responded to the love, care, and expertise she brought to the city.

More space means more women served — but that was never the whole reason. When we walked through the new building, we started asking what could happen here that couldn't happen before.
CAREERS
Room to build a team.
We don't want to rent chairs. We want to train cosmetologists into experts in textured hair and scalp care.
EDUCATION
Room to teach.
Classes where women learn to care for their hair at home, and parents learn to care for their daughters'.
COMMUNITY
Room for the girls.
Free hair days for school-age girls — services, education, and stylists from across Huntsville teaching them to love their natural hair early.

So we're moving.
We've signed the lease on a larger home. We're hiring our first Associate Stylist. We're investing our own revenue into the move.

Every dollar raised allows us to invest more directly into the expansion while keeping operating resources focused on serving clients, developing stylists and building the programming this new space makes possible.
DEW has never grown by itself. We didn't want to disappear for two months and come back with a finished building.
